Cambria's coal and steel legacy built one of Pennsylvania's strongest union-Democratic traditions, but the county has swung sharply rightward over two decades — its R+39.7 margin in 2024 reflects one of the sharpest partisan realignments in the state.
The Republican margin here reached forty-one points in 1920. Between 2020 and 2024 the county moved two points toward the Republican candidate; the 2024 margin was forty points.
