Osceola's large Puerto Rican community near Kissimmee has made it a closely watched barometer of Latino voting shifts in central Florida, with the 2024 margin tightening to R+1.4 after years of Democratic-leaning results.
Osceola County has leaned Republican in recent presidential elections, reaching a Democratic margin of ninety-four points in 1892. Between 2020 and 2024 it moved fifteen points toward the Republican candidate — part of the sharpest rightward shift recorded among any group of places in the country.
Its demographics describe the shift: a 38% non-Hispanic-white share, a median household income of $72,637, and a population of 427,415. The county's voting pattern over the last decade is most similar to that of Orange County and Hillsborough County.
