Atlantic County anchors New Jersey's casino and hospitality corridor, and its electorate has shifted rightward over the past decade, flipping from a Democratic-leaning county to one that backed the Republican presidential candidate by roughly three points in 2024.
Atlantic County has leaned Republican in recent presidential elections, reaching a Democratic margin of thirty-two points in 1964. Between 2020 and 2024 it moved ten points toward the Republican candidate — part of the sharpest rightward shift recorded among any group of places in the country.
