Coconino is Arizona's largest county by area, stretching from the Grand Canyon to the Utah border, and its electorate is shaped by a large Native American population—roughly a quarter of residents—and Northern Arizona University's presence in Flagstaff.
The Democratic margin here reached forty-one points in 1932. Between 2020 and 2024 the county moved four points toward the Republican candidate; the 2024 margin was twenty points.
